Mixed Mediums

As an emerging artist my creative explorations includes a variety of mediums and substrates. Sometimes I find creativity in one form inspires more creativity in other forms, which is another way to say one thing leads to another.

Micron Pen

I first tried Micron pens during a Zentangle workshop in 2017.  In 2020, I started using them again during the quarantine (& other brands) to create doodles and more Tangles after taking some online Skillshare courses to build my skills in down time.

Oil Pastel

Involved covering areas of paper with colored pastels then applying black acrylic paint over top. Etching into the paint reveals patterns filled with vibrant colors from underneath.

The flip side of the etching exercise: Use oil pastel to draw on top of dried acrylic paint.
